The Lake Jackson Historical Museum chronicles the history of the area with interactive exhibits and lifelike animatrons from four eras of history:  the prehistoric ere, the plantation era, the petrochemical development and modern times. The historical association also manages the Alden Dow Office Museum and the Abner Jackson Plantation site.
