This “Area of Peace” features beautiful gardens and a statue of the Virgin Mary. It was built by parishioners of the Queen of Vietnam Catholic Church in gratitude for their welcome to Port Arthur.
Mary stands atop a globe and holds a rosary that will sway in the wind. Grounds include Stations of the Cross statutes and gardens that lead the eye to the central pagoda.
