La Maison Acadienne Museum Things To Do Cultural or Heritage Sites, SEE ALL

Completed in 1976, La Maison Des Acadienne – or “house of Acadia” – stands as a tribute to how French Cajun culture helped shape Nederland and the surrounding region. It is a replica of an authentic Acadian dwelling and offers a glimpse into the lives of the Cajun pioneers who settled the area alongside the Dutch.

The home is equipped with authentic artifacts and home arrangements, demonstrating how Cajuns lived around the turn of the 20th century.
