Hanson Riverside Park & Beal Unit is a unique sanctuary in the lush Columbia Bottomland habitat. Hanson Riverside is over 75-acres of wooded parkland and features an extended crushed granite trail system, fishing pier, canoe launch, covered pavilion, picnic tables and grills, and a playground. Take a trail (or drive just down the road) to the more primitive, newly opened 300-acre Beal Unit and wander through the old growth forest – be sure to keep an eye out for whitetail deer, raccoons, swamp rabbits, great horned owls, and red-shouldered hawks!
