Palacios Area Historical Association (PAHA), was incorporated in 1982 as a 501(c)3 non profit organization in the City of Palacios, Matagorda County, Texas. PAHA operates the City by the Sea Museum to carry out its work and operates a gift shop.

MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of City by the Sea Museum is to enrich the community through education, preservation, and exploration of the region’s cultural and natural histories.

OUR PURPOSE
We exist to

  • experience & learn from the region’s diverse cultures.

VISION STATEMENT
Our vision is to provide a place for all people to learn, to be inspired, to become stewards and storytellers, and to ensure the legacy of our area continues to grow and prosper.

City by the Sea Museum is located in the historic R.J. Hill Building on the corner of 4th and Commerce Street.

ADMISSION
General Admission to the Museum is $5. Admission for children and museum members are free.
