Take a self-guided tour of Bay City’s Historic District. Situated in the South central portion of Bay City’s original town plat, the South Side Historic District is the county’s largest and best preserved concentration of late-19th to mid-20th century homes. They reflect the architectural forms and eclectic development patterns of that era which are typically seen in small to medium sized Texas towns. The stylistic forms represented here include Classical Revival, Craftsman, Colonial Revival, Tudor Revival, Prairie, Mission, Spanish Colonial Revival, and Ranch styles.
