League City is a hot spot during fall bird migration, which begins as early as July and lasts through November. To celebrate this momentous trek, we are offering specially curated birding classes and field trips with an expert birder and certified Texas Master Naturalist. These classes are open to anyone who wants to learn more about birding and experience fall migration on the Great Texas Coastal Birding Trail.

Bird Walks

3 dates | 2 time slots per date
On select weekends in September, October, and November, Kristine Rivers—local birding expert and Texas Master Naturalist—is hosting exclusive birding field trips. Test your birding skills, learn some new ones, and discover the beauty of local wildlife.

Birdwatching for Beginners
Virtual class
This series of free virtual birding classes will teach you the basics of birding. Classes are taught over Zoom each Monday for eight weeks. Session 1 begins Aug. 16

Next-Level Birding
In-person class
Open to intermediate birders and those who have taken the beginner course, these in-person classes will take your birding skills to the next level!Session 1 begins Sept. 7

Bird Walks
