Product Description

The Dow Woods Unit has public restrooms, as well as an environmental education pavilion used for special events. It consists of two separate trails, the Bayou Loop and the Tveten Trail.

The Bayou Loop is a gravel 1 ½ mile trail along an upper reach of Bastrop Bayou in Lake Jackson.

The Tveten Trail is accessible and takes you to the banks of Bastrop Bayou in Lake Jackson. It meanders through the riparian zone and emerges amongst mature live oaks in the floodplain. The trail is nearly one-mile long and is paved.

Don’t veer from marked trails and bring water, sunscreen, and insect repellant.
